We build luxury condominiums in downtown Columbus, Ohio near the Arena District.
What could possibly be more exciting than city living? After decades of moving to the suburbs, people all over the country - not just central Ohioans - are rediscovering urban life. And why not? For many, city living means being able to reduce one's carbon footprint by walking, biking, or taking public transportation to work, cultural and sporting events, the corner market or grocery store, and city parks. Who doesn't relish not having to get in the car to run a simple errand or two? Columbus' public officials are engaged in an ambitious plan dedicated to transforming it into one of the nation's best places to live by 2012, which is the city's 200th anniversary. Living in Columbus puts you in close proximity to everything the city has to offer, whether it is the sophisticated galleries and restaurants in the Short North, the entertainment and sporting events in the Arena District, the emerging neighborhoods of Olde Towne East and established, historic neighborhoods of German Village, and the numerous festivals that grace the riverfront all summer long. If you have never considered the possibility of urban living, perhaps now is an excellent time to start!
Columbus City Schools
Columbus City Schools is the largest school district in Ohio, serving over 56,000 students. The current Superintendent is Dr. Gene T. Harris, a position she has held since 2001. Under her tenure, Columbus Public Schools have moved from the state-designated category of "Academic Emergency" to that of "Continuous Improvement." To help their students succeed, Columbus City has recently partnered with Nationwide Insurance and Big Brothers Big Sisters Ohio to launch Project Mentor. Utilizing the WebFOCUS business intelligence (BI) platform, the program recruits community members to become mentors to at-risk Columbus City students, with the goal of improving students' performance and accountability, as well as increasing the high school graduation rate to 90 percent by 2012.
